ASC Accredited Logo Usage Guidelines For Accredited Personnel Certification Bodies

1. Purpose

These guidelines define the proper use of the ASC Accredited Logo by personnel certification bodies accredited by the American Standardization Council (ASC). They aim to protect the integrity of the ASC brand while enabling accredited bodies to promote their achievement effectively.

2. Eligibility to Use the Logo

Certification bodies that are:

  • Accredited by ASC
    In good standing without unresolved nonconformities
  • ...are authorized to use the ASC Accredited Logo.

3. Authorized Use

Accredited certification bodies may use the logo:

  • On official business correspondence
  • On marketing materials such as brochures, websites, and presentations
  • On certificates issued only for ASC-accredited scopes
  • On social media posts regarding ASC-accredited services

4. Prohibited Use

The ASC logo must not be used:

  • On certificates outside of ASC-accredited scopes
  • In any way that implies ASC certifies individuals directly
  • To imply endorsement of non-accredited services
  • In altered or distorted form
  • In combination with other logos without written permission

5. Design Specifications

  • The logo may be resized proportionally but must remain clear and legible.
  • The minimum width should be 1 inch (25mm) for print and 100px for digital use.
  • The logo should not be altered. Use the official versions:
  • Full-color version on white or light backgrounds
  • White version on dark backgrounds (with ASC approval)

6. Placement Examples

✅ Acceptable Use:

  • Footer of your website with “ASC Accredited Certification Body”
  • Header of brochures advertising your ASC-accredited certification schemes
  • Certification certificates under an ASC-accredited program

❌ Unacceptable Use:

  • On flyers for unrelated training programs
  • As a watermark on non-ASC-accredited documents
  • On business cards without context

7. Withdrawal or Suspension of Accreditation

If accreditation is suspended or withdrawn:

The ASC logo must be immediately removed from all materials

Existing certificates should not carry the ASC mark going forward

8. Misuse and Enforcement

ASC reserves the right to:

  • Request immediate correction or removal of unauthorized logo use
  • Publicly list misuse cases if unresolved
  • Revoke accreditation in cases of persistent misuse
